Elisabeth Mathilde-Marie DeLong

Elisabeth Mathilde-Marie DeLong, died peacefully on November 3, 2015 in Sonoma, CA at the age of 86. Elisabeth was born on July 31, 1929 in San Francisco, CA to Gaston and Marie Mitchell.

 She graduated from Notre Dame des Victoires  and for college attended Lone Mountain, which is now part of University of San Francisco where she met the love of her life Myron E. DeLong.  Elisabeth married Myron "Mike" DeLong on August 18, 1951

Elisabeth and Mike moved to Sonoma in 1952 where Mike taught English at Sonoma High School.  Elisabeth was a loving wife, a dedicated mother and homemaker,  and worked part time teaching French and as a travel agent. After Mike's death in April of 1988,  Elisabeth found enjoyment in genealogy, traveling, and visiting her children and grandchildren.

Elisabeth is survived by her children: Paul DeLong, Annette DeLong, Edward DeLong,         John DeLong, George DeLong, Patrick DeLong, Grandchildren: Christine Brown, Loren McLean, Jesse DeLong, Cabell DeLong, Mitchell DeLong, Madeline DeLong And great grandchildren Logan, Ava, and Carsten Brown.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday November 10th at 12:00 noon at St. Francis Solano Catholic Church in Sonoma.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Myron DeLong Memorial Teaching Scholarship at 1222 Arroyo Sarco, Napa, Ca 94558.
