Hi Denise and Erica: We are very shocked and sad to hear of Steve's passing . We had planned to visit again, as Cory, our son and his family, recently moved to Napa.. It seems plans are never soon executed timely - always behind. When things settle down for you, we wanted to extend an offer for us to host you to come visit us in Nevada City on your time schedule. If you send your telephone number by email, we would love to contact you at some point to visit you in Napa. (we tried to look you up unsuccessfully) I have missed seeing Steve in recent years and will miss him in the future. His sense of humor was terrific and always had a kind word. I will always remember him telling me to turn to "my other left". Earlhene and I send our condolences and love. We have not seen Erica in years - but wish her well. We wish we could have attended the service, but was out of state and could not get back in time. Hugs and positive thoughts always

We were obviously shocked and saddened to learn of Steve's unexpected passing. We had every intention to be at his service but Bob had to have unexpected surgery on Monday in San Fracisco and will not be released until the weekend. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We are so sorry to not be able to say good by to Steve and to give everyone a hug.

H was so involved in our community and always had a friendly smile for me and all who were fortunate enough to call him their friend. He will be missed. You are all in my prayers.

Dear Friends and Family: Unfortunately, I will be out of town on Thursday, but wanted to commemorate my admiration for Steve’s genuine desire to make our community a better place. His personal style was always bold and a little edgy, but his kind heart left no doubt about whom he was and who he might have been. Sadly, he left too early. My best to all – Jeff Doran
