I had the pleasure of knowing Stephanie earlier in my life and corresponded with her much later.
She helped me through a very difficult time and I never got the chance to reunite with her.
She will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace.

I wish I was able to say my last goodbye before he took you away from us. This is all so sudden for me to say goodbye but your in a better place now. I still remember when my my Grandma Lenida and my Grandpa Primo used to babysit us and we would play n play n you even gave me a kiss on my cheeks before it was time to go home those days I will never forget and as we grew older I always knew in my heart that you were a very bright and caring person and always there for your brother and family. You were like family to me and always will be. You were the best family friend I ever had growing up and I am so grateful that God has blessed me with a friend like you. God has better plans and will take care of you now. I will meet you again when time comes. God bless your soul Stephanie. I will always remember you and you will always be in our hearts. Aunt Gloria and family has our sympathy and our prayers for you and family always. We love you Stephanie.

Many years ago I was reading one of Jimmy Buffet's books (yes the singer who's surprisingly also not a bad author) and came across this quote on grief. I find it to be a refreshingly positive description of the grieving process and one that I believe Stephanie would appreciate.
“Grief is like the wake behind a boat. It starts out as a huge wave that follows close behind you and is big enough to swamp and drown you if you suddenly stop moving forward. But if you do keep moving, the big wake will eventually dissipate. And after a long enough time, the waters of your life get calm again, and that is when the memories of those who have left begin to shine as bright and as enduring as the stars above.”
My sincerest condolences to all of Stephanie's family members. She really was a shining star to me.

You left a deep hole in our hearts, and we may just experience a bit of pain on how you felt all along. May God be with you and help you find the peace in your heart and soul that you were so looking for all this time.
