Robert Hartwell

Hartwell Estate Vineyards, a long-standing fixture in the picturesque Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, is mourning the loss of winery founder and proprietor, Bob Hartwell.

Established by Bob Hartwell in 1986, Hartwell Estate Vineyards garnered critical acclaim and a loyal following by producing exceptional, small production Bordeaux varietal wines from its Stags Leap District estate.

Mr. Hartwell passed peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of June 22 and is survived by his wife, Blanca Hartwell, his son Bradford, stepchildren Linda, Debbie, Steve, David; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Following a private ceremony, Mr. Hartwell will be laid to rest in his hometown of Newport Beach, California. A public celebration of life for friends and colleagues will be held at Tulocay Cemetery on Friday July 1 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM.
