I had the honor of working with Dick Harding and his engineering firm (under many names!) for over 40 years, starting in 1970. There are many professionals in this photo who owe much of their careers to this wonderful leader and gentleman:

Dear Don,
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. I'd love to see the photo you posted but the link did not lead to a photo. Would you consider re-posting it so we could see it? So glad to know of your warm memories of my father and the company you were a part of. I remember my father speaking well of you over the years!
With Regards,
Karen Harding

Dear Family - my sympathy to all of you, who will miss this wonderful man. I worked for Dick first in San Rafael & was very happy to be with Harding-Lawson. Dick was a gifted leader with great vision & he began a company that was well-respected always for the excellent work the great group of professionals performed - a real leading force in the geotechnical engineering industry.

Mr. Harding was one of the most chivalrous gentlemen I have ever met. I worked for his company, Harding Lawson Associates, for 15 years. I have fond memories of friendly chats with Mr. Harding in his corner office. He was warm and welcoming and commanded a deserved respect. I think about him often since I left his company and I am happy to learn that he lived a long and full life. He is with the angels now for sure.

I just heard about Dick's passing. In January, I saw Keith Bergman and I was happy to learn that Dick was still in the world. I worked for him 1972-1983 and worked for the company at home (doing the HR newsletter) so still had contact with Dick 1990-99. He was a fair and caring boss and a very capable leader in the geotechnical engineering profession.
