Nicole Dolinar, 52, passed away on April 2 at her home in Napa. She was born September 24, 1962 in San Francisco.
Nicole grew up in San Rafael and attended San Rafael High School. She was an avid tennis player, winning tournaments all over the bay area. Nicole and her father, Jack Miller, traveled extensively during school vacations. Her love of travel led her to study in France and become an aficionado of the French language. Nicole was a stellar student at UC Berkeley where she studied French and European History and at Golden Gate University where she attained a law degree. After a successful career in real estate Nicole married the love of her life, Jeff Dolinar. They lived in San Francisco and then Napa and enjoyed many a weekend skiing in Tahoe. Nicole loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She read copiously to her children and engendered a life long love of reading in her three sons. She loved to entertain family and friends. She was an adventurous cook and reveled in spirited dinner conversation. Nicole also loved to spend quiet moments in the garden to the sound of her chickens and sheep with her trusty dogs by her side. Nicole was dedicated to education. She lovingly homeschooled her 3 sons through their middle school years.
