Meg was just a young girl when I first met the Martin family… and she grew into her teenage years, beautiful and spirited. Hard to fathom she is no longer amongst us.

My heart goes out to you ... David, Susan, Kate and Annabel … Meg will never be forgotten, will always be part of your lives … I feel fortunate that I knew her if only for a brief time.

With sympathy
Sandra

Sympathies for you and your family. As a friend of Kate's from DRC and knowing Meg, I feel so much sadness and pain for your loss. She has forever touched the lives of many; although she is no longer a part of the physical world, her lovely spirit will continue to shine.

In times of personal loss, the words of John Steinbeck have comforted me: "It's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shown." Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers, always....

Best wishes,
Lauren

Dear David and Susan,
We were extremely shocked and saddened when we learned Meg had passed. We have such bright and vivid memories of her when she and Brooke were classmates at Spring Ridge Academy. She was such a unique presence and we know how much you loved and cherished her. We hope God will comfort you and bring you grace as you navigate a different life moving forward. It warms our hearts to hear she was recently baptized and had her own faith and special relationship with our Lord. He no doubt is caring for her now. All the best to you both and to your family.
Our deepest sympathies,
Shana and Rick Elliott

My heart is crying for my old friend. To lose a child is beyond what I can imagine. My deepest sympathies. Still have the picture of David and I preparing to go camping in the Boy Scouts. I have two boys aged 29 and 25, so this cuts very deep. May God hold y'all near and comfort you, I would hug you myself if I was there.

Oh my lovely, lovely Meg. The memories you and I shared are far from lost. How we perched ourselves atop that awkward cliff face that overlooked a galaxy of city lights, night after night, then spoke to each other on the phone until the line went dead at exactly 10:30pm. Through all the laughs and arguments and next-day reunions. I remember the time you hid your face from a teacher by pretending to tie your shoe, only to realize you were wearing slippers. We laughed until our faces were wet and red.

No matter the space and time between us, I will always love you. We had something special, and we always will. Like you always said - too weird to live, too rare to die.

Dear Susan and David, Kate and Annabel,
Love is a fabric that never fades, no matter how often it is washed in the waters of adversity and grief. As a fellow veteran parent of Spring Ridge Academy, I know that all too well. My heart goes out to you.

There were many times Meg was a fabulous friend to my daughter Samantha Henschel, and I know Samantha misses Meg tremendously.

I hope you find comfort in memories of Meg. Pain is often beyond words, but never beyond love.

Sincerely.
Amy Reichbach

We can look at this as it is, or look at it how Meg did, she knew what she wanted for the most part and spoke freely about her beliefs. My deepest darkest moments were made lighter by conversing with her, such a brilliant human being. Her way with words only made up half of her beauty, the countless memories we shared. Teaching Meg how to skateboard and showing her my way of sanctuary was a highlight of those times we shared. I taught her how to let go and feel the gravity for what it's worth. Meg we all loved you, and for her family my love is stronger than that. Bless you all in this moment of silence for her spirit, as she may continue to shine from heaven and impact out lives from a distance!
Sincearly,
Dora Xplora, Skateboard Extrodinaire.
