I just heard about Kathryn's death and was truly heartbroken. I extend my sincere condolences to her family.
I first met Kathryn when she was running American Edwards and she visited my small company in San Clemente back in 1992. I was immediately impressed with Kathryn's incredible grace and kindness. I was proud to have her as a friend during the next 25 years.
I was an early investor in Conceptus and ironically, I ran a company that was their only competitor. That might have been uncomfortable for anyone else but Kathryn and I were always friendly and enjoyed a warm relationship.
But I will always remember Kathryn's incredible courage fighting breast cancer and her response to use technology to help others dealing with that disease. When my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer, Kathryn was the FIRST person to reach out to us to offer help. She even recommended our doctors and they were wonderful, as she had promised! I will never forget her generous and warm heart.
Kathryn touched the lives of so many people and we will miss her greatly. Fortunately, her legacy will live on through her many projects and, of course, through her family.

To Kathryn's family and loved ones. I just learned of Kathryn's passing and am weeping with a broken heart. I was so blessed to know and work with Kathryn during my time at Conceptus. Kathryn was the kindest and most compassionate woman. She made everyone feel valued and was a gift to this world. My heart and prayers go out to you during this very sad time.
