Coming to the United States way back in 1980 was a very memorable part of my nursing professional journey. Ninang met me at the San Francisco airport the very first minute I set foot in the states before heading to work at Mesa, AZ. She welcomed me with wide open arms along with my first cousins. I felt very much reassured that I wouldn't be alone going to unfamiliar and foreign country upon knowing that Ninang would meet me at the airport and take me to. her family home. She would open her home to any new comer in the states especially families. I have great admiration about her being hospitable.

Every year on thanksgiving evening ,I make" paksiw na turkey"This is a personalized classic recipe that Ninang shared with me during one of our family reunions. My own family now enjoys them and always look forward to eating left over "paksiw na turkey "on thanksgiving day.

Ninang was very skillful in crocheting. Her creative talents had produced so many memorable house decor like curtains and beautifully designed bedspreads.

I remember being part of her bakery business in the Philippines. We would earn money from selling her yummy "pandesal" every morning.
Many people earned living to support their families by being employed in her bakery business.

Ninang will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace and be with her love ones most especially her parents.
I love you Ninang.
Pat

To Ninong and all my cousins ,please accept my sincere condolence. I love you all. You are my family no matter what.
