Edith May Keelen

Edith May Keelen passed away on October 14, 2017, in Napa, Ca at the age of 94. Edie was born February 7, 1923 to Ralph and Alice Rodrigues in Vallejo, California. She attended schools in Vallejo and in 1940 she married Michael J. Keelen, also known as Jim. They had 2 Beautiful Children: Lana and Michael. Edie loved cooking, boating, dancing, golfing and spending time with her family. Edie was a member of the Sutter Solano Hospital Guild for 16 years and was elected president of the volunteer organization. Edie served as Guild Program Chairman, and knitted caps for Sutter Solano’s newborns. She put in 32,000 hours of Volunteer work. She also was a member of the Artists League and Sons and Daughters of Italy. She was preceded in death by her Parents, sister Dorothy Rodrigues Mundt, and Husband, She is survived by her brother Walter Rodrigues, Children, Lana (Lee) Cooke, Michael (Nini) Keelen, 3 Grand Children, 6 Great Grand Children and 1 Great, Great Grandson, and many Nieces and Nephews. She was known to her Family as Nonie, but to friends, she was given a few names. One was “Queen Bee” with her own parking place at Zio Fraedo’s. Most recently in her new home in Napa, she was given the Badge of Honor that she wore proudly Every Single day, “Sassy Pants” to all who knew her this could not have been more true. She was Flirty, Feisty, Fun and loved her Scotch and Water. She was well known in many Napa restaurants that she frequented, and she was constantly wanting a Kiss from everyone she encountered. Nonie was our Little Matriarch, a bright light in our family’s world and she’ll be dearly missed by her family and friends
