I met Diane through the Medical Siciety Auxillary, but really got to know her through supporting Justin Sienna. She invited me in her warm & winning ways to take lead positions in the schools support programs. The very best times we shared were 2 summer road trips to Ashland OR with Linda LaForge to see numerous plays, both Shakespearean and modern, over 3-4 days! It was marvelous fun. When I think of her, her signature laugh plus the twinkle in her eyes are the first that come to mind. She's a very special woman who was an inspirational friend. My prayers for Joe, Ann, Mary, Peter, Sam & Sara in the loss of their Mom.

Mary and I are out of town and won't be able to pay our respects at the funeral to this wonderful woman. She was my Godmother and a very dear friend of my mom. The memories of Slaughter family are vivid as our families were very close growing up. Diane was a loving, generous and caring person and we will be thinking of her while on our family vacation. Best wishes to Joe, Ann, Mary, Sam and Sara!

I am so sorry for your loss. We all loss someone special last Monday.
I was so fortunate to get to know Diane. Joe and I have been friends for many years and on one of her trips from Napa to Santa Barbara she stopped to visit Joe. She came to my house for a BBQ and I found her to be absolutely delightful. I loved hearing of her adventures and I loved sharing a few local outings with her too. We shared a passion for dogs, plants, rocks and Grandchildren! And we were both born in Pasadena! When she moved to Santa Barbara we had such fun going to the zoo and lotus land. She was thrilled just to go for a drive in the hills and have a picnic! She was so positive and made everything fun! I really loved her!

Sarah & family,

I can not tell you how grateful I am to have had your mom in my life. She gave me my love of nature and camping and made Bodega Bay a beacon of solace. Every time I cry because something is beautiful or makes me happy I think of her, and how we teased her when she did the same. She taught me to carry a satchel, a good book, and lipstick. She also shared her faith with me, I will never forget her kindness. My prayers are with you all, with much love... Kelly Murray

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this news. I remember your mom as such a life-filled and loving person. I always enjoyed visiting with Peter at the house when his mom was there. She had such warmth and friendliness, and showed such interest in others. I'm so sorry to hear that she has passed. It's so very hard to lose a dear parent. I'll be thinking of you all, and remembering your mom with great fondness. Hoping that these days treat you gently.... Sue Granzella
