i was about like 6 when he died. i honestly was too young to realise something bad actually, y'know happened to him, i thought he just went away on a trip and wouldn't be coming back for a while. sometimes i think about what life would be like if he was still around and it makes me sad how i only got to spend 6 years of my life with him. i miss him.

happy early birthday grandpa

When I heard of Dana's passing 6 months ago I was shocked and truly saddened. Dana taught me how to play guitar when I was 15. At 21 I decided to join the Air Force and remember my last night before going to boot camp spending a couple of hours at Dana's and Donna's house saying good bye. I doubt Trevor and Jeremy remember but Sue , my girl at the the time and I would baby sit for them. Somewhere through time I lost contact with Dana and still regret that. Just wanted to recognize the 1 year anniversary of the loss of a true mentor and friend.

Dear Trevor and Jeremy,: We have been trying to find a number to call you personally but have been unable so we are using this site to express to you our deepest and most sincere sympathies. What a sadness and shock. Your dad had such an influence and impact on our family. His cheer, his kindness, his friendliness and zest for life, & his laughter were so contagious. He called and personally invited us to view the Dia de los Muertos exibit. And he would always ask about Chris and Katie. A great role model for all! Love and hugs- Bob
Trevor, I will always remember your Dad as a kind & gentle soul-a lovable teddy bear. I am so sorry! Sharon

I'll always have fond memories of Dana.
My Mom & I got a kick out of one of his phrases: "No problem".

Lou and I were greatly saddened to hear of Dana's death. He was planning on moving into his house on Old Sonoma Road and we were his nearest neighbors.
He was a cheerful, delightful man who enjoyed life. We talked often about his father, Al Lyon who was a neighbor ever since we came to Napa in 1989.
He will be missed.

Trevor and Jeremy,
I'm shocked to see that your father has passed. I'm very sorry to hear.
I have fond memories of your father. He was the coolest dad in the world and always had a smile on his face. You sure could tell how much he loved the two of you. My sincere condolences, Karlie

Dana was a wonderful human being in many ways. His support of the art community in Napa was extraordinary, and many of us enjoyed his friendship and support. His passing is a terrible loss for many of the photographers that he supported.
My condolences to his family....

I shall always think of Dana as a man who exemplified all that is good--a man of profound kindness and generous spirit. I never had an encounter with him that didn't make me feel this way. He will be missed... "Those whom we have loved never really leave us. They live on forever in our hearts and cast their radiant light onto our every shadow." (Sylvana Rossetti)

Trevor & Jeremy,
We are deeply sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We will miss his friendly wave as he zipped away in his cute little VW, or a welcome chat as we were coming and going to BV Market. Every time we look across the street, we'll remember him fondly and miss our good neighbor Dana. Our deepest condolences to all your family.

Very sorry for your loss. I did not realize that he was associated with Al Lyons VW. I bought my first car on credit from them, a 1961 VW.
