Mick Allen

Edward Micheal Allen, 76, died March 22, 2017, surrounded by his family.  He was born January 9, 1941 in Sebastopol to Joseph and Frances Allen. Mick graduated from Napa High School, Class of 1960.  He then worked as a welder for over 50 years at Kaiser Steel, Napa Pipe and Mare Island.  He also served in the Marine Reserves.

He married Jeannie Escareño on June 17, 1972 and they enjoyed making their home in the Napa Valley.  He loved and was loved by all his family and friends. Many share fond memories of Mick at Butter Cream Bakery counter eating breakfast or just drinking coffee after work.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jeannie; daughters, Jamie Torres and Stephanie Allen; son, Anthony (Rachel) Allen; grandchildren, Ava, Immanuelle and Pierre; sisters, Bobbie Rugg, Penny Florent and Jeanne Cillis; and many from his extended Escareño family.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sally Long and Doreen Allen.

A memorial Mass will be said on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Napa with a gathering to follow in the church hall.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, http://www.alz.org.
