Why Have a Service

A SERVICE HAPPENS NOT BECAUSE SOMEONE DIED, BUT BECAUSE SOMEONE LIVED!

Many people do not realize the importance of a service for everyone who has experienced a loss. It is an important step in a healthy grieving process. A service is more than just a gathering of family and friends to say goodbye to a loved one, it is an opportunity to celebrate and remember a life well lived

The type of service you choose for yourself or a loved one is an important and very personal decision. At Tulocay Funeral Home, our dedicated and professional staff will explain the funeral process, show you the various options available and assist you with designing a service that truly reflects the spirit of one precious life. As each family has its own traditions and desires, it is our goal to do whatever possible to make this difficult time as comforting and healing as it can be.

Terminology surrounding services can be confusing, so here is a brief guide

Funeral Service: the deceased's body is present for the service, either open or closed casket.

Memorial service: cremation has been chosen so only pictures or an urn is present at the service. It is possible to have a funeral service prior to the cremation.

Graveside service: can be either a casket or urn, but the entire service is held a the graveside.

We also arrange for direct cremation or immediate burial which do not include a services or visitation. This is frequently a choice of families requiring a more economical option for final expenses.

Regardless of the type of arrangements a family chooses, we are committed to walking with you through the process.
