Robert "Bob" Cushing

Robert “Bob” Cushing, age 70, of Fairfield, California, passed away in the loving arms of his family at home on Sunday Oct. 9. 2016.

Bob proudly served 30 years with the California Highway Patrol, with most time stationed at the Martinez CHP office.

He was an avid golfer and loved playing weekly rounds with his “Tuesday Foursome” and best friends, and with his sons at every opportunity.

He loved the home he and his wife built, and cherished having family and friends over for backyard swims and barbeques.

Bob is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Brian of Elk Grove, California, son, Brad and daughter-in-law, Paula, of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, U.S. Navy Commander Leonard W. and Helen Cushing; brother, Leonard E. and sister-in law, Sally Cushing; sister, Carole Hlavacek.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday Oct. 22, 2016, at Tulocay Funeral Home, 411 Coombsville Road, Napa, California.
