Marjorie Brown

Marjorie Elaine Brown was born October 15th, 1926 and passed away on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017.  She was born in Boston Massachusetts, her parents Charles and Ruby Davis relocated the family in her teen years to the Napa Valley, where she would eventually raise her own family.  She attended Sonoma Valley High School, in Sonoma California. In 1943, shortly after high school her parents purchased the Carneros Market in Napa off of Old Sonoma Highway.  While working at the store she met a Rancher Bob (By God) Brown.  They married in 1946 and were together for 65 years until Bob’s passing in February 2012. 

Marge’s greatest joy in her life was always her family. She is survived by her four children:  David Brown, Jean Blackwell (Rick) Patsy Brown and Ruby Uran (Bob), four grandchildren:  Troy Blackwell (Angie), Todd Blackwell (Michele), Josh Uran (Jenn), Mallory Uran McEligot (Matt) and six great grandchildren:  Brady, Gavin, Lilah, Addison and Kennedy Blackwell and Baby Boy Uran due to arrive in February.

Marge worked at the Napa State Hospital for 25 years as a Food Service Supervisor.  She loved working in her yard and grew beautiful roses.  She enjoyed many bus trips to Reno, with her friends.  She was very lucky on those slot machines.  Marge enjoyed spending time with her friends and missed the many that passed before her. 

Per Marge’s request there will be no services. Celebrate Marge by telling your family how much you love them, something she was always quick to remind us of. We love you Mom/Grandma!
