MARIO GONZALEZ

1972-2015

Mario Gonzalez, 42, died peacefully at his home on April 12, 2015.  He was born April 25, 1972 in St. Helena, California to Bernabe and Rosa Gonzalez.  After high school, he earned his B.S. Molecular Biology/Chemistry from San Jose State University.  He then spent the next 19 years with a very successful career in the pharmaceutical industry working for companies such as, Lifescan, Noramco, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck and finally at Integra Life Sciences.

Mario loved being with friends enjoying good food and fine wine.  He enjoyed flowers and plants, had great taste in clothing and interior decorating, and liked his bling-bling.  He was kind hearted, but had a wicked sense of humor.  He was determined to succeed in all aspects of life, but had a timeless smile that allowed others to be comfortable in his presence.  He loved sending flowers to his mom on special occasions and simply wanted to be known as the "boy next door".

He lived by the motto, "never let fear stop you from knowing the truth or from succeeding".  He succeeded in life and shared a special unconditional love with his family and true friends.

He is survived by his parents, Bernabe and Rosa, brother, Armando and sisters, Alicia, Hermelinda and Adelita; and 6 beloved nieces and nephews.

Mass will be said on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 10am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church.  Graveside committal will follow at Tulocay Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday, April 14 from 12-7 in the Tulocay Chapel with the Rosary prayed at 7pm.  Memories and words of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
