Harold Messner

HAROLD MESSNER

1935-2016

Harold Messner, 81, died unexpectedly November 5, 2016.  He was born January 19, 1935 in Follett, Texas to Walter and Evelyn Messner.  His family moved to Vallejo during WWII and he graduated from Vallejo High School, Class of 53.  He went on to earn his B.S. from Stanford and J.D. from Golden Gate University and worked as an attorney for Chevron for nearly 40 years.

He was involved with the Masons, Elks Club and the Sierra Club.  He enjoyed golfing and staying in touch with high school friends, especially at class reunions.

He is survived by his daughter, Lynne Jolitz; sons, Steven, Gregory and Matthew Messner; granddaughters, Stephanie Messner, Stacie Fajardo, Sarah Hayes and Rebecca Jolitz; grandson, Ben Jolitz and great grandson, Marcus Messner-McCarthy.

A graveside service will be held at 11am, Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Tulocay Cemetery.
