Donna Rose Egan

Donna Rose Egan led a charmed life. She was born and raised in once bucolic Marin County on August 8, 1940 to Egidio and Mary Lambretti. The Lambrettis lived in the Italian neighborhood of Gerstle Park among many family members. In her teens Donna met the future love of her life Timothy J. Egan. Married for 49 years until Tim passed in 2011, they shared a love that inspired everyone they knew. Tim and Donna lived at their ranch in Suisun where they raised their son Kerry. They moved back to Marin before settling in the Napa Valley.

Donna was loyal & generous to a fault, had friends from elementary school and never met a stranger. Donna loved a dry martini with an olive and was in her element in the kitchen while entertaining family & friends. And its commonly known that Donna loved to dance. Her many friends are at a loss to know that Donna is gone. But without exception they are all pleased to know she is now with her beloved Tim.

Cancer took Donna's body but not her spirit as she battled Multiple Myeloma for 24 years. However, she was fiercely proud of being a survivor. She had a 'never give up' attitude and she and Tim were huge supporters and hosts of the V Foundation Wine Celebration since its inception in the Valley. Tim also passed due to cancer.

Donna was beyond proud when her new grandson, Jameson Hunter Egan, arrived just after her birthday in August.

Donna is survived by her adoring son Kerry, his wife Jamie and Jameson, nieces and nephews on both sides of the family; Debbie, Dennis, Shannon and Seamus as well as great nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her partner in life Timothy, her parents and sister Dede.
