My deepest condolences to David's family and friends. I worked for David's company for 10 years, and found him to be an all around great guy and contributor to the community, which was something he took very seriously.

Uncle Dave always took me to watch trains and to eat at our local Dairy Queen in Willcox. I fondly remembered both he and I traveling to view the Skunk railroad in Northern California. I have a lot of fond memories such as traveling to watch Cirque du Soleil in San Francisco and playing tennis at their home during the summer I stayed with them.
Keep blowing that train horn in heaven,
Your nephew Nick

To the Family of David Parkinson ----------

Our deepest condolences and sympathies to the family and friends of David, a talented and fascinating personality and a valued friend of years gone by.

I am Alan Chodorow -- Dave's shipmate and friend on the USS Permit and an occasional visitor, with my wife Diane, during the long passing time since then. I frequently think back on those happy days, when we worked, played and talked for hours daily. As the news about fires in the Napa Valley, Dave's picture and voice appeared in my head. His obituary came up as I searched for a telephone number to call him. Now, I will have to use a different communication system -- the same one that you must now use -- to speak with him.

Again, our condolences and thoughts for your loss. Know that others are also mourning for this fantastic person.

Diane and Alan Chodorow

My heart felt condolences. I recall being invited to play a round of golf with Dave it was a sunny day weather was perfect clear sky's lite gentle breeze.
Dave shared stories about his life, his love of family and the life he led. What an accomplished life he had.
What I will always remember about that day was his comments about his Children and Grandchildren how he loved them and always wanted them to be Happy.
Dave, a very complex man with love of family.
He will be remembered.

When we heard Dave had passed, all of our hearts were full of sorrow and we felt immeadiate grief and such sadness for Sancy and his family, who he loved so much. Dave was an amazing man and displayed such genuine sincerity in all he did. To our family, especially Tom, Dave was a constant friend and always there when we needed anything. He adored his wife, spoke of his children often, and was always willing to put others before himself. "Parky" will always be remembered as a gentleman and a safe harbor for those who called on him. To say this loss is heartbreaking is an understatement and our deepest condolences go to his loved ones and those feeling the misfortune from his passing. May he forever Rest In Peace and be met by the Lord and those gone before him.

Dave was an incredible human being. In many ways he was so much more than a mentor, employer and friend - more like a second father to me. I will never forget our relationship wherein I could call upon Dave for advise, counseling and guidance whenever needed. His generosity was like no other. I will truly miss Dave but I will never forget the positive part he played in my life. God bless you Dave and all of your family.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one, David. May you find comfort in the words written at Acts 24:15, where God promises to bring back to life those we have lost in death by means of a resurrection. In the future He will completely eliminate our enemy, death.(Isaiah 25:8) This gives us the wonderful hope of being reunited with our loved ones, forever. Until then, I hope the memories of David and these promises from God comfort you in the days ahead.
