Thomas Bennett

Thomas Bennett , 82, passed away surrounded by his family on March 2, 2025 due to a prolonged battle with lung cancer. Tom was born on Mare Island June 8, 1942 to Edward and Anne Bennett. He graduated from Napa High School where he met his wife Jeanette. They were married for 60 years and they had 3 children Julie Lovie (Rick), Jeff Bennett, and Emmy Bennett. They were blessed with 5 grandchildren Bailey Spears ( Jake) , Mackenzie Lovie, Cameron Lovie, Tommy Bennett, and Lillie Bennett (deceased). He is survived by his siblings Helen Scroggins and Clyde Bennett. He is predeceased by his sister Beth Anne Clark.

Tom was in the grocery business for 44 years, he retired in 2004. During his retirement Tom enjoyed cruising and camping, tending his vineyard, making his own wine, gardening, and making memories with his family. Tom will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Services will be held at Saint Apollinaris Catholic Church, 3700 Lassen St., on March 28, 2025. At 10:30am there will be a Rosary ( optional) in Tom's honor and a Memorial Mass following at 11:00am. There will be a luncheon reception following the Mass in the Church Hall.
