 Stella T. Valdivia, 84, of Napa, CA, passed away on November 24, 2023, after a brief but brave battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her youngest son, Tony; and is survived by her husband of 64 years, John; son, John; and daughter, Cindy; grandchildren: Alexandria Katmeros (Billy), Devany, Nicolas (Dolores); and great-granddaughters: Aliya, Zoe, Cleo and Dahlia.

Stella grew up in Benicia, CA and after marrying John in 1959, they moved to Oakland, CA. For the next 32 years Stella raised her family, helped John in his construction business, and was active in St. Jarlath's parish before moving to Napa in 1991 to be closer to her grandchildren.

She became known as "Grandma" to many more than just her own and was known for her warm smile and great cooking. For the next 32 years she was dedicated to her church community St. Apollinaris and was an active member of the Women's Guild.

Stella was a member of Exertec gym where she was a regular "enthusiastic" attendee at water aerobics classes. She loved her early years in Oakland and later life in Napa and built many lifelong friendships that she valued with all her heart.

 Burial at Tulocay Cemetery on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow the funeral mass in the church hall.
