Sharon Lomonaco, entered into rest Thursday December 19, 2024.
She was one of three siblings who grew up during the Great Depression, leaving Kansas with her mother for a better life. Emma (Estes) Holcombe (widowed) took her three little girls (Jackie, Loretta, & Sharon) and moved to Portland, Oregon.
In 1962, Sharon moved from Portland, Oregon to Napa, California where she met the love of her life and husband of forty-seven years, Pete Lomonaco.
Sharon and Pete together successfully built and operated small business “Royal Draperies” for more than thirty-seven years, providing personalize interior design and drapery manufacturing throughout the United States, and Mexico, but more specifically Northern California. Sharon was as passionate about her design and interior work as she was about her cooking. When you went to her home you never left on an empty stomach...even to the very end, Her Prime Rib and Cheese Tortellini Soup was the best!
The only thing Sharon loved more than her family was the word of God and was not deterred sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone she encountered. She was extremely kind, hardworking and creative... making everything she touched beautiful!
She loved her family so much and never missed an opportunity to brag about her four children, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She joins her Father, Stepfather, Mother, Sisters, Son, and Husband Pete to be with Jesus in their Heavenly home. There is no more pain and suffering.
Throughout her life Sharon maintained a loving demeanor that won the hearts of so many, and who were moved by her story of faith and family. Her signature gift (Great Listener & Loving Heart) will never be forgotten.
Mom, you were a gift from heaven, whose purpose was to make this world understand what love, friendship, goodness, and humbleness was all about. Goodness belongs in heaven. I know you're watching, bestowing your beautiful smile upon us. May your soul rest in peace.
Sharon is survived by her two brothers, Fort Holcombe (Nancy) Washington, Dan Holcombe (Kathy) Gresham, Oregon, three children, Roberta Hamblin (Robb) Napa, CA, Barbara Wiggin Napa, CA and Jerry Barkley (Karla) Pensacola, FL.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Tulocay Cemetery Funeral Home & Crematory, the funeral service is scheduled for February 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM. in the Tulocay Chapel. Reception following service in the Tulocay Reception Center.
