Ruth Marie Chandler passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024 at the age of 81.
She was born on June 8th, 1943 in San Francisco to parents June Bartelme Hayes and Wallace Hayes. She lived her entire life in California. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Wallace and Michael Hayes. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Joe Chandler, four children (Susan, Stacey, Thomas and Paul), six grandchildren (Anthony, Jason, Alessandra, Brooke, Calista, Sean) and her sister Jean.
She was a very positive loving spouse, mother, and grandmother. She lived for her family and would do anything to support and encourage everyone. She could find a connection with anyone she met and would always make sure everyone she met knew how proud she was of her children. She will be missed.
A service and reception to celebrate her life will be held at 1PM on Saturday December 21st at the Covenant Presbyterian Church at 1226 Salvador Ave. in Napa, California where she was a member for over 50 years. This will be followed by an internment at Tulocay Cemetery on Coombsville Rd. in Napa at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Covenant Presbyterian Church or the Vintage High School Music Department.
Condolences and words of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.Tulocaycemetery.org
