Rosemary O Millard, 78, peacefully went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2021. Born on May 16, 1943 in Colville, Washington, Rosemary was the eldest daughter of Mary Thelma and James Arthur Overby.
As a younger woman Rosemary loved her time with things that provided her with independence and speed, in no particular order: horses, motorcycles, and cars. Rosemary expressed her artistic eye through fashion and decorating. She modeled fashion and later became a highly skilled seamstress providing beautiful clothing for her family and herself. Her home was always beautifully decorated with everything in its place.
As time went on, travel became her love, making 22 international trips and collecting gorgeous things along the way. Her love for London was seen through various trips.
Rosemary served her community well through many different channels: volunteering her time, teaching at the adult educational center, supporting her neighbors in the senior living community she oversaw and managed for over 20 years. Additionally, she provided accounting services to many in the greater Bay Area. She will be missed and is loved by many!
Survivors include, her sister: Christina (William) Ferguson, and niece Lorelei (Harvey) Hoffman, all residing in South Carolina.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her beloved son, Anthony Jay Lawrence (1965 - 2021) of Napa, CA, and her parents, Mary Thelma and James Arthur Overby of Napa, California.A Celebration of Life for Rosemary will be held in Napa at a future date. The best way to honor Rosemary is to live your life to the fullest, and always extend a hand when it is needed, just as she did every day she was given.
