Robert (Bob) V. DeLonzor passed away peacefully on April 14, 2021. He was 93 years old.
Bob was born in San Francisco, raised his children and lived most of his life in Napa and Yountville, California, and was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West. He is well known for owning and operating Bob's Bel Aire Barber Shoppe for over 40 years. He also sang with the Napa Valley Harmonizers, a barbershop chorus for 53 years.
He was a medic in the Coast Guard and volunteered for many years at the Yountville Veteran's Home. Bob was also active in the Mormon Church. He was an avid hiker and backpacker and was a contributor to the Yosemite Conservancy for over 30 years.
Bob was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by family and friends. In honor of Bob, friends are asked to mindfully read something from one of his favorite author's Jack London, Robert Louis Stevenson, or George Bernard Shaw. Or enjoy a walk in nature at Point Reyes, Mt St. Helena, or Yosemite where he always found inspiration.
Bob is survived by sons Gerry DeLonzor and Russ DeLonzor (wife Kimberley); grandsons Derik, Dylan, and Devon DeLonzor; granddaughter Claire DeLonzor; step-son Gregory Stone; and companion Ann Davis. He was preceded in death by his daughters Gwendy and Diana DeLonzor and his wife Marvel.
Bob and Marvel are laid to rest next to each other in gravesites 80 and 81 at the Tulocay Cemetery, 411 Coombsville Rd., Napa, CA.
