1934 - 2021

Phyllis Jean Koenig Krueger of Napa, CA died peacefully on January 16, 2021 at the age of 86. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was born in Jamestown, ND.

Phyllis was raised in Jamestown, ND. She married Lester Krueger in 1955; together they raised 10 children. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and baking for her family. In addition to her children, she also raised dogs and cats. Few, if any, homeless animals were ever turned away. She was also a devoted parishioner at Saint Apollinaris Catholic Church.

Her wonderful spirit lives on in her large and devoted family. She is survived by her three sons, Michael Krueger, Daniel Krueger and John Krueger; four daughters, Deborah Krueger Pitts, Susan Krueger, Cheryl Krueger and Betsy Krueger Whitaker; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and two sisters Charleen Kiser of Farmington, MN and Patricia Pagac of Lake Angelus, WI. She is predeceased by her husband, Lester Krueger, sons Paul Krueger, William Krueger and Patrick Krueger, a granddaughter Jennifer Krueger and a great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Jayne Slusher, her brother, Darrell Koenig sister, Sharon Shoemaker, and parents, Katherine Negosek Koenig and Ralph Koenig.

The family appreciates the wonderful care that she received from the staff of The Berkshire Assisted Living Facility during the last years of her life.

Due to the Covid19 virus, memorial services will be held in the future when it is safe to do so.
