Philip was the third of seven children born to George and Addie Hohmann. He was born at Parks Victory Hospital shortly after the family moved to Napa. He was developmentally disabled and went to special education classes taught by Ralph Rose.
As a teenager he moved to Porterville where he lived for most of his life, until the family brought him back to Napa in 2012. Here he lived independently at Rohlff's Manor with the support of North Bay Regional Center and his family.
He died after a short illness and is survived by his siblings: Mark Hohmann and Karen Loper of Napa; Rosalyn Singleton of Alaska; and Joel Hohmann of Minnesota; and his many nieces and nephews whom Phil cherished.
