Nicholette “Nicki” McQueen Roberson was born in Henderson, NV on June 25, 1988, and passed away at her home on October 31, 2021. Nicki moved to Napa, CA at the age of seven with her family and attended Phillips Elementary School, Silverado Middle School, and graduated from Napa High School in 2006. Nicki hated dresses as a child and was a complete tomboy. She had messy hair, baggie clothes, and never wore shoes.
During high school, Nicki met several of her close friends, played club volleyball, and played running back as “The Machine” in the Powderpuff game. She worked at The Meadows of Napa Valley with her two sisters for many years. She was a lead food server, and everyone who lived there and worked there absolutely loved her. Nicki would make them laugh, tell them jokes, and speak her mind.
Nicki met her husband, Jeffrey Roberson, in 2008, and they were married in 2009. Nicki and Jeff have three beautiful children – Teigan James, Ryler Anthony, and Brinley Mae “Sissy.” Nicki stopped working after Brinley was born and devoted her every minute to her family.
Nicki was full of life. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a wife, but most importantly – she was a mother. Nicki loved her babies more than she ever loved anything or anyone else. She loved seeing Tei, Ry Ry, and her “best girl” grow into little people. Nicki loved to sing and dance, drink her Tamarindo Cheladas, go to the ocean, and go fishing with her dog, Gator.
Nicki was always up for a good challenge. We knew we couldn’t dare her to do something, anything, because she would always do it. She loved the warm sunshine on her face, showing off her tattoos, and splashing in puddles with her kids.
Nicki leaves behind not only her husband and children; she also leaves behind her mother and father, Cathy McQueen and Gilbert Hally, her sisters Mardi Streb (Chris), Coral McQueen (Eddie Chavez), and Elise Hally (Jack Chatterson), and her brothers Robbie McQueen and Steven Hally. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and hundreds of friends.
In honor of Nicki, her service and celebration of life will be held at Tulocay Cemetery and Funeral Home on November 11, 2021 at 11:00 am.
