Mary Rose Moyer, passed away at 101 years of age. She died peacefully at an assisted living facility in Moraga, CA. She was born February 28, 1921, in Napa, CA. The daughter of Luigi and Rosa Garaventa.
Mary was the youngest of four children. She had two daughters, Sandra and Melanie. Mary spent her life helping others and always putting the needs of her loved ones first. She was active in her community for many years with the Childrens Home Society and the Rocking Horse Society. With the help of her late husband Richard Moyer she was a respected and successful business woman. She loved her children, grand children and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. Mary was one of the most gentle souls. If ever you needed her, she would be there and was very generous. She always had a big loving smile for everyone. She was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed telling stories of her youth and family history.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Richard Moyer; her daughter, Melanie; and her daughter, Sandra; as well as her brothers: John, William, Silvio; and many other extended family members.
Mary is survived by her grandson, Jeffrey Windle; granddaughter, Vikki Windle; and step-daughter, Marcy Perry. Mary has four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren from Jeff and his wife Deanna, and three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild from Marcy. Mary also has many other surviving family members that will miss her dearly.
Her bright light will never be dimmed and her spirit will never be forgotten. Our family is tremendously proud of her strong and courageous outlook on life that enabled her to live to be 101.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa, CA. There will be a reception to follow at Tulocay.
