Marvin Rothman

Marvin Harold Rothman, a local downtown Napa business owner for more than 30 years, passed away peacefully January 2, 2025 in Vacaville, CA surrounded by loved ones. Marvin was born in San Francisco, CA on May 19, 1927 to Mildred Jacobs-Rothman and Harold Rothman.

Marvin lived a life full of laughter, love, and adventure with a knack for storytelling. He graduated from Napa High School in 1944, and at just 17 years old enlisted in the Navy and served as a photographer during WWII. After his service, he returned home and started his career as a local businessman with his brother Leonard.

In 1975, Marvin married the love of his life, Marcia (née Cooper) Rothman. Together they enjoyed every day as it came, traveling, gardening, canning jelly, and laughing all the while holding each other's hands.

Marvin is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Marcia Rothman, his brother Leonard Rothman, his children Ronald Rothman, David Rothman, Amy (née LaFeber) Tusup (Troy), and John LaFeber, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
