1965—2018
Mark Douglas Templeton was born in Napa on Dec. 14, 1965 to Ralph and Marion Templeton. He died on Sept. 11, 2018 at home in Napa. He lived in Napa all of his life, though he visited family in Oregon, Southern California, Iowa and Minnesota. He attended Napa schools, including Napa College. Mark was the youngest of four brothers: Phil (wife Linda), of Seattle; Richard (Beth) of Chicago; and Dave (Peggy) of Napa. We remember him as the largest (six foot six), most gentle among us, the one who kept in touch by phone calls and letters, and prayed daily for each of us. From his earliest years, Mark was loyal and loving to each member of the family. As an adult, he was a strong believer in Jesus Christ.
We Templetons are thankful to Michelle, Mark’s excellent nurse and health care advocate, who took him to many medical appointments and often talked with him about his life; and his friends at Collabria Care and at churches he attended, who loved him as family. You all were essential in helping him build friendships, face life’s challenges and adjust to living alone after our Mom died in 2012.
Mark will be interred at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa, next to our parents. Please send any favorite memories of Mark to drt98028@gmail.com.
