Marilyn Greenwell

Marilyn passed away peacefully on 4/23/2021 at the age of 97. (she is 94 in this picture). She was born in Napa to Benjamin & Fay (Brundage) Walker on 10/06/23. She graduated from Napa High School where she met Walter Greenwell who moved to Napa in his senior year. They were married for 62 years until Walter's death in May 2003.

She is survived by her two sons Ben and Larry Greenwell. Ben's daughter Jaime (Greenwell) Jackson and her kids Steven, Antonio, and Sarai. Ben's son Jason Greenwell and his kids Heaven and Chance. Larry's daughter Alicia (Greenwell) Selby and her kids Matthew and Ashley (and her son Aiden). Larry's son Brayden Greenwell (and his son Mason).

Marilyn loved gardening, traveling, camping, and spending quality time with her sisters Margie and Gloria and their families, and all those kids. Her greatest accomplishment was her love and passion for playing the piano and violin. She began playing the violin at a very young age and was a violinist for 60 years with the Napa Valley Symphony Orchestra. She was also a member of the Solano Community Symphony, and participated as a member of a string quartet at various events in the Napa Valley.

Marilyn and Walter will be laid to rest next to each other in crypt side service at the Tulocay Cemetery, 411 Coombsville Rd., Napa, CA. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday May 14. No graveside services will be held.
