On Tuesday December 15th, 2020 Manuel Aguirre passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife, children and grandchildren at age 71.
Manuel was born on January 21st, 1949 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Trinidad and Pedro Aguirre. He came to Napa California at the age of 16, where he met and married the love of his life, Margarita. He began a career in landscaping and vineyard management, with brief stints working with Napa Park and Rec, Sawyer Tannery, and Silverado Country Club. Manuel was an active member in the Saint John's Catholic Church.
Manuel was known for his strong work ethic, love of gardening and viticulture. His fondness and green thumb of roses and giant cala lillies can be seen throughout the valley. His family will forever remember him as a man of few words with a contagious laugh and twinkly eyes, who loved to sing along to his favorite mariachi, corridos and rancheras.
Manuel was preceded in death by his father, Pedro, his mother Trinidad, and his seven siblings. He is survived by his wife Margarita, his three children Tina, Yolanda, and Manuel, his grandchildren Mariana, Viviana, Manuel, Mia, Marcus, Sofia, Bianca, Diego, Ceci and Mateo, his great-granddaughter Elliana, his son-in-law Jorge, his daughter-in-law Heather, his sisters Chabela, Rosa, Juanita and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 30th, 2020 at Tulocay Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating will be limited, social distancing will be observed and wearing a mask is required. Friends and Family are invited to a social distance viewing from 9:00-10:00 am. The service will be streamed via Facebook to allow all who loved Manuel to pay their respects.
