Laura, age 39, passed away peacefully in her home on March 22, 2021.
Born on August 19, 1981, Laura spent the first half of her life in Napa, making memories with lifelong friends and family. She graduated from Vintage High School in 1999, then moved to Chico with friends.
Laura had a lifelong love for family, friends, dogs, creating, cooking, traveling, and of course pursuing the finer things in life. Without trying, Laura had a natural ability to make anyone laugh in any situation. We will greatly miss her humor. When Laura was in the room, you knew it. She radiated light and love. As her friends said, she was magic.
From a very young age, Laura had a natural artistic ability. As an adult, her passion and creativity led to working in the jewelry business and becoming a wedding and event stationer. She specialized in hand lettering and illustration.
Laura is survived by her parents George and Susan Lambrix, her sister Kristina Madsen, Kristina's husband Michael Madsen, and their three children Jacob, Makenzie, and Connor. She is also survived by her Nana, Nancy Lambrix; her aunt, Linda Schurr; her uncle, Michael Lambrix; her cousin Scott Lambrix and his son Hudson Lambrix; as well as her uncle and aunt Eric and Donna Anderson and her cousins Kenneth Anderson and Emily Anderson.
Laura always joked that when she left this life, she wanted those attending her memorial to be dressed in black. She hoped for a rainy day, where everyone would also carry black umbrellas. This is typical Laura humor! Please know, this is not necessary and any color is acceptable.
Laura's memorial will be at 11am on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa. Laura loved animals, especially dogs. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, ASPCA.ORG. Please use Memorial Donations, noting email lauralambrixmemorial@gmail.com along with your message.
