Lanny Johnson Sr.

Lanny Johnson Sr. was 83 years of age at his time of passing on Friday, April 25 th, after a short and unforeseen battle with cancer.

Lanny was born on December 2 nd , 1941, to Lanny Sr. the 2 nd and Delmer Mansker-Johnson in Burkburnett, Texas. After moving to California, Lanny graduated in 1958 from Armijo High School in Fairfield, CA and later attended classes at the Napa Junior College.

His first job was working at the Vacaville California Onion Plant and shortly afterward, moved on to a long-term career with American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) as a senior communications technician with 47 years of service before retiring.

Lanny is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Johnson, brother Jerry, 6 children (Kris, Lanny Jr., Glenna, Shawna, Heidi and Wendy), 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Some of Lanny’s favorite interests were visiting scenic places, taking lots of pictures with his cameras, and being involved at Cornerstone Fellowship Napa. From early days of darkroom film developing to digital photography and computer processing, many prints were publicized, displayed in galleries, and awarded ribbons for best of show and numerous placing’s.

An interment service will be held at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa, California on Friday May 9 th at 2pm with a reception to follow at Cornerstone Fellowship, 3305 Linda Vista Avenue, Napa, CA at 3pm.
