Kim Thompson passed away peacefully in Los Angeles on July 25, 2022 at the age of 65.
She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Martin and Lurean Thompson. She spent her life exploring her passion for education, serving as a teaching assistant, an administrative assistant, and a gifted tutor. She moved to the Napa area in 2011 to pursue her own education at Pacific Union College, ultimately earning her Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees.
Kim is survived by one son, Micah Wendell and his wife Caroline, her two granddaughters Sophie and Elyse, one sister Nola Steen and her husband David, one niece Staci Baker, and one nephew Andy Steen. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marean Thompson.
She will be laid to rest at Saint Helena Public Cemetery in St. Helena, California on August 17th at 1:00 pm. A memorial will be held at Angwin Village Church in Angwin, California at 6:30 pm the same evening.
Kim will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, as well as a loyal friend and a truly kind woman who cared deeply for those around her. She will be greatly missed.
