Juliana Stahl, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on January 30, 2025 succumbing to a year long battle with lung cancer. Born on May 19, 1947, her final moments were spent resting peacefully at home in Napa, surrounded by loved ones.
She grew up in the Chicago area, studying at Indiana University before falling in love and marrying her dear Charles on July 12, 1969. They were happily married for over 55 years. After raising a family and enduring more cold weather than any reasonable person should, Juliana and Charles moved out to the paradise of Napa in 1999 becoming fixtures in the community, eventually opening La Toque Restaurant in 2008.
A woman of spirit and dedication, Juliana will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure to know her. Those who knew her will attest to her avid love of basketball, her fashion, her mild obsession with QVC, her collection of all things Christmas and of course her love of Champagne. The family asks the she be remembered not for the sadness of her passing but for the joy she brought to others and the passion with which she lived.
Juliana is survived by her loving husband Charles, her children Charles and Ripley and their spouses Rumi and Jennifer, and her grandchildren Raiden and Fujin.
There will be a celebration of her life later this year.
