Joseph J Pridmore

On Monday, September 16, 2024, Joseph J. Pridmore beloved husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years old, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Charles and Stella Pridmore on June 14, 1934 in their Capell Valley home. Joe was the third oldest child of five children.

Joe grew up in the Capell Valley countryside and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed at a very young age hunting and fishing. Joe went to Napa High School and graduated in 1952, he during that period of time in school met the love of his life Patricia "Patty" Nicolson. They married in February 1953 and one year later welcomed a baby boy, their first of five children. They would go on to have four boys and one girl.

Joe worked at Kaiser Steel/Napa Pipe for 40 years in the Boilermaker Union as a Rigger.

When his sons and nephews were growing up, he took time to teach them all how to hunt and fish. Today when discussing hunting in regards to Dad, Uncle Joe, and Grandpa the word legend of hunting comes up frequently. Joe's passion was hunting and killing the elusive Black Tail Buck, and he was the G.O.A.T when it came to killing bucks.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Stella Pridmore, brother Charles "Chuck", Raymond, Kennith Pridmore and sister Norma "Jeanne" Tarap.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Patricia Pridmore, and his devoted children Steve and (Becky) Pridmore, Ron and (Michele) Pridmore, Joe and (Stephanie) Pridmore, Randy and (Kelli) Pridmore, Sally and (Mike) Rice. Grandchildren Scott, Tom, Amanda, Amber, Trevor, Eric, Jake, Riley, Gracie, Ella, Garrett and Megan. Great Grandchildren Kyle, Abby, Jassy, Silas, Mazie, Emma, Sophie, Alan, and Aiden, and many Nieces and Nephews.

A Rosary for Joe will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024 at 6 p.m. at Tulocay Chapel, 411 Coombsville Road, Napa. There will be a Mass Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Apollinaris Parish, 3700 Lassen street Napa followed by a reception at Tulocay. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Joe's memory to Collabria Hospice, 414 South Jefferson St, Napa, CA 94559.
