Jose Antonio Bogarin Ramirez

Jose Antonio Bogarin Ramirez, lovingly known as “Toño” or “Tío Toño,” passed away on May 22, 2026, at the age of 64. He was born on July 2, 1961, in Nayarit, Mexico, and later made his home in Napa, California, where he built a life surrounded by family, hard work, and love.

Toño was the kind of person who left an impression on everyone around him. He was quiet, reserved, and never needed to be the center of attention, but somehow, he always found a way to make people laugh. He had a mischievous side that would catch people by surprise because he was always the last person anyone would expect to be behind the prank. When he got caught, he would just quietly smile or laugh to himself, making the moment even funnier to the people around him.

He will also be remembered for the little things that made him uniquely him, like the way he would say “es okay” instead of “it’s okay,” a simple phrase that now carries so much love and meaning for the people who knew him best. Those small moments, expressions, and memories are the ones his family and friends will hold onto forever.

He is survived by his beloved children, Kevin and Kenya Bogarin, along with his siblings Sergio, Nicolas, Zenaida, Carlos, Alicia, and Emilio. He now reunites in peace with his brother, Cervando Bogarin, and his father, Emilio Bogarin, who passed before him.

Jose was the son of Emilio Bogarin and Gorgonia Ramirez de Bogarin, and he carried his roots from Nayarit with pride throughout his life. His family will remember him for his hardworking nature, his quiet strength, and the comfort of simply having him around.

“Tío Toño” was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. Though his passing leaves a tremendous emptiness in the hearts of his family and friends, his laughter, love, and memory will remain with them forever.

Toño fue una persona que dejaba huella en quienes lo conocían. Era tranquilo, reservado y nunca buscaba llamar la atención, pero aun así siempre encontraba la manera de hacer reír a los demás. Tenía un lado travieso que sorprendía a todos, porque era la última persona de quien uno imaginaría una broma. Y cuando lo descubrían, solo sonreía o se reía calladamente, haciendo que el momento fuera todavía más gracioso para quienes estaban con él.

También será recordado por esas pequeñas cosas que lo hacían ser él, como la manera en que decía “es okay” en vez de “it’s okay,” una frase sencilla que ahora tiene un significado enorme para las personas que lo amaron. Son esos pequeños momentos, palabras y recuerdos los que su familia y amigos guardarán para siempre en su corazón.

Le sobreviven sus queridos hijos, Kevin y Kenya Bogarin, así como sus hermanos Sergio, Nicolas, Zenaida, Carlos, Alicia y Emilio. Ahora se reúne en paz con su hermano Cervando Bogarin y con su padre, Emilio Bogarin, quienes fallecieron anteriormente.

José fue hijo de Emilio Bogarin y Gorgonia Ramírez de Bogarin, y siempre llevó con orgullo sus raíces de Nayarit. Su familia lo recordará por ser un hombre trabajador, por su fortaleza silenciosa y por la tranquilidad y cariño que transmitía con su simple presencia.

“Tío Toño” fue profundamente amado y será profundamente extrañado. Aunque su partida deja un gran vacío en el corazón de su familia y amigos, su alegría, su amor y su memoria permanecerán para siempre.
