Jim P. McKeever
Obituary
On April 8, 2023, Jim McKeever, a long time Napa resident, passed at the age of 92. You may have met Jim as he was a census taker, a tour guide at Beringer's winery, a member of the Napa County Grand Jury, a Trustee on the Queen of the Valley Hospital Foundation, a member of the Napa Sunrise Rotary and a volunteer at the Napa Valley visitors center.
Jim was a choir boy at St. Vincent of Ferrier School in New York City, graduated Newtown High School in 1958, and attended Queens College and Pace University majoring in Business Administration.
Jim was a long time employee of New York Telephone Co., a member of the New York Air National Guard during the Korean War, and served 12 years as a volunteer fireman, in North Massapequa, NY.
His wife of 35 years, Doris passed in 2016. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara McGovern; his son, Douglas McKeever; and three grandchildren: Michael and Kathlin McGovern and Patrick McKeever all of Garden City, NY. He is also survived by his niece, Kathleen Urbina and her husband Luis, who live in Napa, and have been kind and caring during the past several years.
