Jessica Augustina Mendez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jessica. Throughout her life she was there for anyone who needed her. Her home was yours and her door was always open with her amazing smile and her delicious meals.

She loved spending time at the beach in Bodega Bay renting houses with her family, going for rides around the vineyards and listening to her favorite Oldies. So many beautiful memories were spent with her.

Jessica worked for Head Start from 1987-2013 as an advocate for families and children of Napa and American Canyon. Anywhere you'd go with her there was always a family that knew her. Her greatest gift was her daughter Angie and her granddaughter Sofia. Life will not be the same without her.

Preceded in death are her father Merejildo Garcia and brother-in-law Danny Gonzales. Survivors are her soulmate of 37 years Efrain Hernandez, daughter and son-in-law Angelina and Justin Heath, mother and step-father Angie and Richard Raney, sisters Christine Benavidez, Patricia Gonzales, and Michelle Garcia (Lorraine), niece Desiree Villegas, nephew Paul "Josh" Benavidez, niece Demitria Pfeifer (Alex), nephew Nicholas Gonzales, and great nieces and nephews, Anthony, Joshua, and Liliana Benavidez, and Xavier and Dalia Pfeifer, and the upmost joy of her life, her granddaughter Sofia "Button" Heath.

Memorial service will be at Tulocay Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 followed by reception.
