Jean Horlivy Jul. 16, 1944 – Nov. 29, 2023 – Jean was born and raised in California, the youngest of two.
Jean and her former spouse, John Horlivy, had two children together in Milwaukee, WI. She met her husband, Steve Tansey, in California, where they bonded over Cajun music and dancing; and she supported her community as a dedicated Social Worker for Sonoma County.
Jean was vibrant, magnetic, and a woman in movement. As able, loved ones are going for brisk walks in her honor; If unable, they are listening to Roy Orbison or sharing a raunchy joke with an accepting loved one.
She was predeceased by her older sister, Annette Paleologos; mother, Ruth (Williamson) Gerson; and father, Herbert Player. Jean is survived by her husband, Steve Tansey; her daughters, Dorigen Lonergan and Emily Greenquist; her grandchildren, Anneliese Lonergan and Alex Lonergan; her nephew and niece, Steven Axt and Lisa Whiteley; her loving extended family; and her many loyal friends.
A private Memorial for the family will be held at a later date.
