Janice Marie Wood

Janice Marie Wood, age 67, of Napa, California passed away on January 21, 2026

After a 5-year battle with cancer.

Janice was born on September 14th, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan to her parents Phillip and Grace. She graduated from Edwin Denby High School in 1976 and after graduating she started a career in the banking business and worked for Comerica Bank in Detroit. She later became an Air Force spouse; she worked at Travis Credit Union on base and eventually entered the fuel refinery industry. Janice excelled here and she was proud to become an Operator. She spent more than 30 years there. In 2017 Janice would reunite with her life partner Rick DeSloover. Janice did not have any children of her own but was a loving Aunt to her nephews and a wonderful grandmother to Rick’s grandchildren.

Janice is survived by Nancy Friday, Frank Perri and Kyle Schwarm

And remembering siblings Bob Friday, Linda Schwarm and Laurie Perri.

 Viewing will be held at Tulocay Funeral Home 411 Coombsville Road Napa, CA. 94559 on Friday, Febuary 13, 2026 from 9:00A.M. - 11:00A.M. 

Followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00A.M.
