Iva da Conceicao Pereira Rocha

Iva da Conceicao Pereira Rocha was born on December 23, 1933, to Francisco Pereira Goncalves and Maria do Carmo Teixeira in Santa Luzia-Angra, Terceira Azores; and passed away peacefully at the age of 88, on August 27, 2022, surrounded by the love of family.

Iva was a long time resident of Napa where she was employed at Sawyer of Napa Tannery for many years and then went on to work as a housekeeper for several families until her retirement.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Manuel Rocha Jr.; son, Joe P. Rocha; brother, José Henrique Teixeira Pereira; and sister, Maria Manuela Goncalves.

Iva is survived by her daughter, Emily P. Rocha of Napa; brother, Manuel and sister-in-law, Maria Jose Goncalves of Ontario, Canada; goddaughter, Hilda and her husband, Manuel Escobar of Tulare, CA; sister-in-law, Maria Jose Pereira of Terceira, Azores; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Maria and Hélio Beirao of Napa; and numerous nieces and nephews in CA, Canada and Terceira, Azores.

The Holy rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 960 Caymus St. Napa at 12:30 p.m. followed by the funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Tulocay Cemetery, 411 Coombsville Rd., Napa.
