Iva was born in the Azores islands July 11, 1959: she immigrated with her family to California in 1971. Iva was a long time resident of Benicia but moved to Napa three years ago. Iva is survived by daughter, Magan Gieffles of Reno, daughter, Jessica Gieffles of Napa five grandchildren: Vanessa; Brandon; Sydney; Christian and Luke and three great grandchildren: Caleb: Cynthia and Noah, seven sisters, and one brother and many nieces and nephews. Iva is predeceased by her parents. Antonio T. Batista and Serafina Cabral Batista,
Iva‘s family was her priority throughout her life. Her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.
A Catholic funeral service will be held at Tulocay Chapel November 21, 2023, at 1:00 PM followed by a burial at Tulocay Cemetery.
