Harvey Jerry Price

Harvey J. "Jerry" Price Jr. passed away on June 28, 2024, in Vallejo, CA. Born on January 28, 1944, in Ogden, Utah, Jerry spent his formative years in Napa, California, where he graduated from Napa High School in 1962. In May of 1972, Jerry married Edwina Hanson. Together they had a daughter, Ida.

Jerry dedicated many years of his life to Mare Island Naval Shipyard before it closed in 1996. Not one to settle into retirement early, he continued working at River Park Self Storage.

Jerry was deeply passionate about his hobbies. He was an avid participant in car shows, a member of the Napa Valley Cruisers car club, enjoyed fishing, and occasionally indulged in gambling. These activities brought great joy to his life and connected him with many friends.

Nothing gave him more joy than spending time with his three grandchildren. They enjoyed many activities including fishing, playing games, and attending car club events.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Edwina, and daughter, Ida Bruce, along with his son-in law, Robert Bruce, and grandchildren Justin, Julia, and Wyatt Bruce. His siblings, Patricia Danks, David (Teri), Steven, John (Robin), Jim, Lisa Ghisletta (Scott), and Todd (Jody), as well as sister-in- laws Candy Brown, Ellen McGrath, and Mary Hanson also survive him. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Cleone, his brother Robert, and sister Cherie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2nd at 2 pm at Tulocay located at 411 Coombsville Road in Napa. A reception will follow. At the conclusion of the reception, guests are encouraged to take a cruise down Jefferson Street in Jerry’s honor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions (new unwrapped toys) may be made to the California Highway Patrol's annual CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive that is held at Christmas time.
