Harriet Sommer

Harriet passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022, after a two-year battle with cancer.

Harriet was born in New Jersey in 1937, to Thomas and Harriet Kane.The family moved to Vallejo, CA, during WWII. Harriet attended schools in Vallejo and Napa, graduating from Napa High in 1955, and married Jack Frey shortly after. After Jack's passing in 1967, Harriet met and married Frank Sommer in the fall of 1969.

Harriet enjoyed bowling, needlepoint, casinos, gardening and all the years with family and friends at the trailer on Lake Berryessa.

Harriet is survived by a son, Mike Frey (Rena); daughter, Deanna (Snook) Sommer (Karrie); four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two nephews.

Harriet was predeceased by her parents; her husband Jack (1967); husband Frank (2019); sister, Ann Aslan (2015); and son, Jeff Frey(2014).

Our family would like to thank Kaiser Hospice, Agnes from 'A Partner in Caring' and Sandy Hagan for her constant, loving care.
