Geraldine "Gerry" Christensen

Geraldine "Gerry" Christensen passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2021 after a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family. Gerry was born on April 19, 1943 to Gerald and Mary DeYoung in Greensburg Pennsylvania. As a child her family moved to Vallejo California where she graduated from Vallejo High School in 1961.

In 1972 she moved to Napa California. She worked at the Veterans Home in Yountville for 22 years retiring in 2002. She enjoyed going on cruises, going to Las Vegas and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years James Christensen, daughter Mary Ann Madison, son Michael Madison,(Carin), sister Merry Carrillo, brother David DeYoung, grandchildren Jordan Madison, Jennifer Gordon(James), Seven Madison, and Melissa Madison, great- grandchildren Kylie, Haylee, and Jaxson Gordon. Also survived by nieces Kacey Shah, Krystal Carrillo, and by other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Kaiser Hospital and Continuum Hospice for the wonderful care she received. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be made to a charity in her name.

A memorial service will be held for Gerry on Thursday August 19, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the chapel at Tulocay Cemetery 411 Coombsville Rd. Napa California
