He was an avid self-taught outdoorsman who passed on his knowledge and experience to the next generations.
Along with his love for the outdoors, Jerry had a passion for racing go-carts, motorcycles, and his race truck. He also learned to fly a Glider, and rode many miles on his Harley sportster.
Jerry truly loved his family and friends.
Jerry wrote his own “Obit” as follows-
“It pains me to admit it, but apparently I have finally passed away.
As I leave you behind, I want to thank all of you who were a part of my life, and suffered thru all of my
long-winded stories.
Now I will check the “O’bits” and finally see my name there.
-Jerry”
